The idea is to stimulate the collagen and with different treatment heads reduce fine lines and even pigment with a “little to no “ downtime treatment. The treatment enhances skin permeability by forming non-ablative.. or non-open wounds on the skin to allow penetration of products and skin stimulation.

It is a gentle laser that is designed to be used together with anti-aging products to enhance their penetration. Antioxidant serum is an example of a product that can be applied immediately after treatment. Studies have shown 17 times greater penetration of the antioxidant ascorbic acid (vitamin C) into the skin after the treatment.

Antioxidants neutralize damaging free radicals caused by ultraviolet radiation from the sun. They also offer some sun protection and help keep skin healthy.

The main reason we offer this treatment is for the fine lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, decollete and hands. For those annoying lines around the lips, it is a good choice as multiple treatments can we done comfortably with little to no downtime. It also improves irregular pigmentation, and rough, sun damaged skin. It improves tone and radiance and produces healthier skin.

It is an ideal treatment to start in your 20’s and 30’s to maintain healthy skin, especially if there is some sun damage. It is also a maintenance treatment at any age after more aggressive laser treatments.

Typically, no anaesthetic cream is applied before the treatment since there is minimal discomfort and downtime. Several laser passes are gently stroked across the skin. The treatment feels tingly and warm. Immediately after the laser, a product such as an antioxidant serum is applied and covered with a hydrating cream or mask. Sunscreen is then applied.

The skin may be pink for a day. Make-up can be applied, and most patients return to their regular activities immediately. A few days after the treatment, your skin will start to feel softer and look brighter. With successive treatments, the results will become more noticeable.

A series of 4-6 treatments 2 to 3 weeks apart is ideal for best results. Maintenance treatments can be performed every 6 weeks or so as part of a maintenance program.
